US House Passes Energy Bill - Increases Gas Mileage

Today the U.S. House passed a comprehensive energy bill that increases gas mileage by 40% and ethanol production as well as require improved energy efficiency standards for lighting and appliances. President Bush is expected to sign it.

Jay Leno Receives Hydrogen Powered BMW

Jay Leno has become the latest person to receive keys to a BMW Hydrogen 7, the first hydrogen-powered luxury sedan. The popular comedian and host of NBC’s The Tonight Show received his BMW Hydrogen 7 on September 17th, 2007 at his famed car garage in Burbank, California, which is fittingly a "green garage" that receives a great deal of its energy from steam power.

GM Unveils a Fuel Reducing Advanced Combustion Engine

GM takes advanced combustion technology out of the lab and onto the road. GM demonstrated the adaptation of the HCCI (homogeneous charge compression ignition) technology in driveable concept vehicles based on conventional, production-based products like the Saturn Aura and Opel Vectra.
